NATSO’s member volunteers shape the association’s goals and priorities and carry the industry’s message to Capitol Hill. From volunteering for a committee to serving on the board, there are several ways to get involved at all levels of expertise and with varying time commitments.

New! NATSO’s Council of Experts

Active members drive ºÚÁÏÉçÇøforward, whether joining committees focused on government affairs or leadership development, serving on the ºÚÁÏÉçÇøor ºÚÁÏÉçÇøFoundation boards, or participating in our HR Share Group. However, in today’s fast-paced world, not every busy professional has time to make a long-term volunteer commitment.

Designed for today’s busy executive, the Council of Experts allows volunteers to opt-in to short-term opportunities as they arise throughout the year, selecting those that are the best match for their schedules and expertise.

Committees:

This committee prioritizes and implements the political advocacy efforts of the association.

Members of the committee identify and nominate potential ºÚÁÏÉçÇøand foundation leaders, develop evaluation criteria for board members and volunteer leaders, and market volunteer opportunities to potential leaders.

This committee provides insight into member needs, especially prior to and during the early phase of new product development.

The Research Committee recommends annual research priorities to the ºÚÁÏÉçÇøBoard and the ºÚÁÏÉçÇøFoundation Board, working within the board-approved multi-year strategy. The committee also provides staff with insight into operators’ current and emerging needs to help shape research projects to ensure they are indispensable to operators

The council provides an essential element to the success of ºÚÁÏÉçÇøConnect member input.

The Foundation Board members provide input on the Foundation’s program of work, actively support and, where appropriate, lead fundraising efforts, and shape the Foundation’s content strategy.

When calls for nominations come out, consider throwing your own hat in the ring for a term on the board.
